Coordinating everything in life is difficult enough. Between family needs, work responsibilities, it is an understatement to say life can become a little too hectic at times. However, coordinating how you clean can be quite simple and be one of the biggest reliefs when juggling everything else life throws at you.
Cleaning with Colour:
We all know someone at home that will grab the closest rag or sponge to clean up any mess, which is a big no-no in terms of cross contamination and spreading germs.
To defeat this, come up with a system to help others distinguish what should be used for what type of mess. See example below.
Dark Green Sponges (such as Scotch-Brite Heavy Duty Sponges) – ovens as well as Pots and Pans.
Solid Colour Sponges (such as these Antibacterial Sponges) – Allocate a different colour for separate uses or rooms including kitchen, dishes, tables, counters and cutting boards. For example, Sponges stored in the laundry or under the kitchen sink– Only to be used for floor spills; Blue Microfibre Cloth – Only to be used for the bathrooms.
