The Common Grocery Staples

  • Lemon

    Lemon juice contains acid, which kills most forms of mold and mildew.
    How to use it: Apply equal parts lemon juice and water to moldy and mildewed areas. Let sit for 10 minutes before washing with warm, soapy water.

  • Cornstarch

    A fine, dry powder that is highly effective at absorbing grease.
    How to use it: Rub cornstarch into grease stains on clothing and let sit before laundering with hot water and detergent.

  • White Vinegar

    An acidic liquid that breaks down grease, mold, bacteria and germs.
    How to use it: Spray a vinegar and water mixture onto the inside of the fridge and wipe clean with a sponge.

    How to use it
